Parroquia San Juan Bautista

The San Juan Bautista de Boquete Parish / Franciscan Catholic Church is the main church in the town of Boquete.

Here a little bit of its history: It began as a chapel in 1903, in the community of Alto Lino. In 1929, it was erected as a parish under the protection of San Juan Bautista. That same year the headquarters were moved to Bajo Boquete. Since 1951, the Franciscans have been in charge of the parish and they passionately carry out their work through evangelization, catechesis and sacramental formation.

The motto that distinguishes those who visit this parish of gothic architecture and design is “PEACE AND GOODNESS”, undoubtedly the place where you will find Jesus and his peace.
